With updated regulations, UK citizens can now enjoy full ownership of their Dubai mainland companies, eliminating the need for local sponsors in many business activities.
Dubai's position as a global business hub offers easy access to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa, making it ideal for international trade and expansion.
Dubai mainland companies benefit from a tax-friendly regime, including 0% corporate tax for most sectors, no personal income tax, and access to double taxation treaties.
Mainland companies can operate freely across the UAE and internationally, without restrictions on office locations or trade zones, allowing for diverse business opportunities.
Dubai's dynamic economy and increasing population offer a thriving market for goods and services, making it an attractive destination for UK entrepreneurs.
Mainland setup enables business owners, employees, and their families to obtain UAE residency visas, ensuring smooth relocation and access to world-class healthcare.

Select a legal business activity that complies with Dubai's regulations. Dubai Mainland allows a wide range of business activities, including retail, service-based, industrial, and more. Your business activity will determine the type of license you need.
Choose the most suitable legal structure for your business. Options include sole proprietorship, partnership, or limited liability company (LLC), based on the size, nature, and objectives of your business.
For foreign nationals, including Spanish citizens, a local sponsor (a UAE national) is usually required for certain types of businesses, particularly LLCs. The sponsor will hold a minority share (51%) in the business, with the remaining 49% belonging to the foreign investor.
Register your company’s trade name with the Department of Economic Development (DED). The name should reflect the nature of the business and meet Dubai's naming conventions, avoiding prohibited words or terms.
Apply for the appropriate business license through the DED. Dubai Mainland businesses require a trade license, which could be a commercial, industrial, or professional license, depending on the business activity.
A physical office in Dubai Mainland is required for your business. You must secure office space that meets the necessary size and location requirements specified by the authorities to proceed with the registration process.
Once the business is registered, complete the visa and labor card formalities for yourself and any employees. This includes securing residency visas for foreign investors and work permits for employees, allowing them to live and work in the UAE.
